Former Chelsea FC left-back Baba Rahman should be part of Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
This is according to former Ghana Football Association Communication Director Ibrahim Sannie Daara with the team set to face Mali and Central African Republic (CAR) in June.
Rahman, who is yet to play for Ghana in 2024, is coming off a successful campaign with PAOK having helped the team clinch the 2023/24 Greek Super League title – scoring six goals in 28 matches.
Baba Rahman back again on Black stars
“Ghana ace Baba Rahman has just finished the best season of his career, crowning it with the Greek league title at PAOK,” Daara wrote on his official X page.
“The left-back played 44 matches, scoring 6 goals, four assists and 3,564 mins of action. Black Stars need Baba for upcoming WC qualifiers.”
Rahman has 52 caps for Ghana and he has netted once for the four-time African champions.
Ghana coach Otto Addo is expected to announce the squad to face Mali and CAR in the near future.
