Rwanda discharges 11 more people that have recovered from COVID-19

Rwanda has today discharged eleven more people who have recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total of those who have recovered in Rwanda to 18.

The development was confirmed today, April 11 by the minister of Health Dr. Daniel Ngamije during an interview with Rwanda Broadcasting Agency (RBA) today in the afternoon.

“We are about to discharge more 11 people; I think the staff in charge are executing it by now” He said

This is the third batch of recoveries since Rwanda reported the first COVID-19 case on its soil on March 14.

The previous batches include the discharge of four COVID-19 recoveries On Sunday, April 5 which had been the first ever; While the second group of three people would be discharged later on Tuesday, April 7.

Rwanda has so far confirmed 118 cases of coronavirus, out of 8000 samples tested

The worldwide death toll from the new coronavirus has surpassed 101,000 amid about 1.6 million cases and more than 372,000 recoveries, according to the Johns Hopkins University tally.
