Six soldiers from the Armed Forces of Democratic Republic of Congo known as FARDC, on exercise within the Sokola 2 South operational sector in South Kivu, have been under arrest in Uvira since Wednesday, November 20th of 2024.
The interim sector commander who ordered their arrest; accuses them of having tortured a lady and his husband in Mikenge, Itombwe region in Mwenga territory; in South Kivu.
The soldiers incriminated; include; one corporal and 5 warrant officers 2nd class.
