The Rwanda national team beat the Central African Republic (CAR) 5-0 in a second consecutive international friendly match played at Amahoro National Stadium on Monday, June 7, 2021.
Goals from Muhadjiri Hakizimana (in the 3rd minute), Yves Mugunga (in the 45th minute), Martin Fabrice Twizeyimana (in the 68th minute), Dominic-Savio Nshuti (in the 81st minute) and Martin Fabrice Twizeyimana (in the 86th minute) secured the dramatic victory for the Amavubi, to conclude the round of two warm-up matches in style.
During the first fixture, Rwanda had beaten CAR 2-0, thanks to goals from Abdul Rwatubyaye and skipper Jacques Tuyisenge.
Both teams have been using these two matches to prepare for the 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifiers which get underway in September 2021.
Rwanda has been drawn in Group E alongside Uganda, Kenya and Mali.
