Kigali city residents will have to stay at home for one more week to further contain the spread of COVID-19, according to the cabinet resolutions released on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.
The move comes after Kigali city had been placed into a total lockdown from February 18 to February 2.
With the new resolutions, the Rwanda capital city lockdown will have to climax on February 8, whereby other measures will be put in place for a period of two weeks by then.
As of Tuesday, February 2, the country’s positive rate stood at 5.4 per cent of the tests carried out so far while the recovery rate is 68.4 per cent.
