Rwandair has celebrated its decade long role of connecting Rwanda and Zambia, and highlights core achievements including significance contribution to tourism, bilateral ties, and regional connectivity.
Since its inception on March 27, 2015, the frequency of flights between the two capital cities has increased from three flights a week to daily flights. The growth has played a pivotal role in fostering bilateral ties between the two nations and contributing to the tourism industry in both countries.
According to the carrier, over the past decade, the route has been instrumental in increasing tourism in both countries. It has also contributed to the growth of Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE)and student exchange programs.
The increase to daily operations between the two destinations aligns
with the airline’s commitment to enhance intra-African connectivity and meet passengers’ evolving
needs.
“Our Lusaka route has been a cornerstone of our expansion strategy and regional integration,” saidThembela Dladla the Regional Manager of Southern Africa at RwandAir. “We are proud of the role it has played in fostering economic and cultural ties between Zambia and Rwanda, reinforcing the long-standing friendship between the two.”
The Lusaka route is a testament to the airline’s dedication to connecting Africa and supportingeconomic development through increased travel opportunities.
To celebrate this milestone, RwandAir is offering a 25% discount on tickets throughout their network, including destinations such as Kigali, London,Brussels, Lagos, Nairobi, and Paris.
This discount makes travel more accessible for their valued customers. The offer is valid for ticketpurchases until May 15, 2025, and travel until June 15, 2025.
