Kigali: Save the Children celebrates 100-year anniversary, vows to stoke service

Save the children Rwanda has celebrated a 100-year anniversary of the universal service and vowed to maintain its contribution to the country 

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary in Kigali, yesterday 20th November, Marcel Sibomana Child Rights Governance Program Manager, Save the Children International Rwanda, said that the aim is to continue support for the country in order to uphold its service to children

“This has been the opportune time to rethink how to continue working with the government of Rwanda in education, health and other sectors in which a Rwandan child will benefit from. We are very keen on improving the upbringing and education of children, we aim at putting emphasis on child abuse prevention through advocacy and criminals’ pursuit to reduce impunity in child abuse”

In Rwanda Save the children has served for 25 years  

The general organization’s mission continues to be doing whatever it takes for the most vulnerable children around the world.

Universally, over the past 100 years, Save the Children has changed the lives of far more than 1 billion children, reaching 155 million children in 2017 alone, according to the released statistics this year
