Today, at Urugwiro Village, President Paul Kagame received Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, one of the facilitators of the merged Luanda-Nairobi peace process for eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The meeting focused on the ongoing security situation in the eastern DRC and broader regional dynamics. President Kagame and President Obasanjo exchanged views on the progress of peace initiatives and explored sustainable pathways toward stability, cooperation, and development in the region.
Beyond regional matters, the two leaders also discussed a range of key continental and global issues, reinforcing the importance of dialogue and collaboration in addressing shared challenges.
Their engagement underlines Rwanda’s continued commitment to supporting regional peace efforts and promoting constructive partnerships across Africa.
