Rwandan giants Rayon Sports FC have signed a football partnership with Moroccan professional football club Raja Club Athletic.
The five-year agreement which was signed on July 19, 2021, will see two giants and most supported clubs in Rwanda and Morocco respectively benefit from sharing expertise, skills and mutual sports facilities, young players development, exchanging and transferring of professional players, organizing friendly matches between two clubs, in Rwanda and Morocco, use of technology in football among others.
Speaking amid the event, Jean Fidele Uwayezu, the president of Rayon sports association said: “We are delighted to have entered into this partnership with a club of the century, Raja Athletic Club and we look forward to a successful relationship together. This partnership is another positive step in our club’s continued growth and development and an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a successful and history making club. We are sure that this partnership will benefit both senior and youth players, staff and our fans”.
According to Rachid Benbrahim El Andaloussi, the president of Raja Club Athletic, the agreed partnership will bring peoples and nations together.
“Raja Club Athletic is happy with the partnership with Rayon sports. Sport brings people and nations together, and here we are. Our wish is to consolidate the path already traced by our respective leaders,” he said.
